Fuzzy Goats is dedicated to fiber-bearing caprines, specifically Pygora and Pycora goats.

What's a Pygora? It's a cross between a registered Pygmy goat and a registered Angora goat. What's a Pycora? It's the same thing, except it uses a Colored Angora. What's the difference? Depends on who you ask. The Pygora Breeder's Association is very picky about Pygoras, and they specifically exclude any fuzzy goat that is also registered as a Pycora. Their breed standards require the Angora to be a white one.

Can you tell the difference between Pygoras and Pycoras? One drinks tea with its pinky extended.

In all seriousness, a breeder should track their goat's lineage closely. A 'pure' Pygora can be registered via the PBA's national breed herdbook, and a 'pure' Pycora can be registered via their registration system.

All News Blog entries may be edited or rejected, so each entry must be manually approved by the administrators. The Talk section is available for all people interested in fuzzy goats. There are separate sections for Pygora, Pycora, and Angora lovers. Please, no 'My goat breed is better than yours' posts. We welcome all humans that have been adopted by fuzzy goats.

The Pygora section contains information specific to Pygoras, such as breed standards, general Pygora info, and Pygora Breeder's Association news. The Pycora section will contain similar types of info, except specifically about Pycora goats.
